BIO

THRUST LAB is a Baltimore-based instrumental electronic rock duo formed by Benjamin J.A. Domanico and Samuel N. Ortiz-Payero in the fall of 2004. Their music has been compared by Pitchfork Media to the likes of Vangelis, Giorgio Morodor, Weather Report and M83. Jan. 16 @ Kansas House - Arlington, VA

A nice relaxed vibe pervaded the night. Teenage Souls' set was as tight as I've ever seen, and was very entertaining to watch. Mark Brown did a ambient/techno set with some Japanese horror film projections that were partially on the wall and partially on the cieling.

Our set was pretty good, but I couldn't really hear the drumpad, and when i took out my ear plugs, the audio sounded blown-out and super loud. I need to stop mixing with my earplugs in. That's a road lesson that i've learned.

We sold a few CDs, one to Patrick from Imperial China. I've heard about them from Greg Szeto who seems really into them, so I'm definately interested. Patrick looked pretty much like a businessman so I was surprised to hear he was in  a band that I've heard of. Nice guy.

Some of the cool dudes we met - Kwasi, Collin Crowe (lives @ Kansas House), David (of Buildings), Justin (aka Juice), Bronco, Alex, Mike, Cory (lives @ Kansas House).

Good show, good vibes.
