This page explains the account, billing, and privacy surfaces in ThrustLab: when a plan limit stops or warns you, how to verify your email, how your acceptance of the Terms of Service is recorded, the "Do Not Sell or Share" privacy control, and the engineering-use disclaimer that appears on every result. Plans & limits
ThrustLab has two plans. Free retains a rolling daily run allowance and includes the REST API; Pro is fully featured with unlimited simulation usage, at $10 a month or $50 a year. Your plan controls how many simulations execute at once, and additional submitted work waits in the queue.
Where you can subscribe. Paid plans are currently sold in the United States only and require a US billing address — a card billed outside the US is declined at checkout. The free tier is open worldwide.
Compute-unit usage
The meter on your billing page shows compute-unit usage. Free shows usage against its rolling daily allowance. Pro shows the rolling seven-day usage count for transparency, labeled Unlimited simulations, with no quota bar or reset countdown.
How to read it. A compute unit is counted per physical rotor — a four-rotor static run records four units, not one. Paid usage is still metered for history and cost visibility, but the count never blocks a run.

Simulations running at once
Free runs one simulation at a time. Pro runs up to five at once. The limit belongs to the account: dashboard submissions and every API key share it. Additional dispatched work stays queued and starts automatically as a slot becomes free.

Watch out. Concurrency is not a usage quota. You can submit any number of paid runs, but only your tier's allowed number execute simultaneously. API request-rate limits and global overload protection still apply.

Daily allowance used
This banner appears across the dashboard after the server confirms that your Free daily compute-unit allowance is fully used. Your existing projects, simulations, and results remain available.
How to read it. Choose Upgrade for unlimited usage to open Billing & usage. Pro removes the compute-unit usage quota and unlocks the full motor, propeller, and battery database.

Watch out. The banner never guesses your plan or allowance. It stays hidden while usage is loading, after a failed usage read, below the daily cap, and on paid plans with unlimited usage.

Upgrade required
A panel that appears when an action needs a higher plan than your current one — for example running a dynamic mission, a multi-axis parameter sweep, exporting CAD geometry, or hitting your daily free-run limit.
How to read it. It names exactly which feature is gated. Each gate has its own message: a daily-cap hit explains when your next free run frees up; a feature gate (dynamic, sweep, CAD export, the creator) explains which plan unlocks it. Use its upgrade action to open the available plan or billing path.

Watch out. The free daily limit resets on a rolling 24-hour window, so a capped run frees up automatically — you don't have to upgrade to keep going the next day.

Greyed-out (plan-gated) controls
A control that needs a higher plan than yours renders greyed out in place. Hovering or keyboard-focusing it shows which plan unlocks it — Requires Pro tier or higher — and clicking it does nothing.

How to read it. Parameter sweeps, dynamic missions, CAD export, catalog spec readout and the propeller creator's new/edit entries need Pro. Creating an API key does not — the REST API is included on the free plan. Nothing is hidden — every control stays visible so you can see exactly what Pro unlocks.
Watch out. The greyed state reflects your plan as the page loaded. If it ever disagrees with the server, the server's answer wins — a blocked action shows the upgrade panel instead of failing silently.

How to read it. The number is how many additional catalog components become searchable on Pro.
Watch out. Your own custom components are never gated — they stay visible and usable on every plan.

Your account
Verify your email
Confirms the email address on your account using the single-use link we email you when you sign up. You must verify before you can run a simulation.
How to read it. Opening the link lands you here, confirms your address, and sends you on to the dashboard. If the link has expired or you never received it, use the resend option to get a fresh one.

Watch out. The link is single-use and time-limited — if it doesn't work, request a new one rather than reusing an old email.

Resend verification email
Sends a fresh single-use verification link to your account email if the original was lost, expired, or filtered to spam. You must verify before you can run a simulation.
How to read it. The button sits beside the ⚠ Unverified badge on your account page, and in the unverified banner shown across the app. Click it and we email a new link; the button then shows a short countdown before you can request another.

Watch out. There is a short cooldown between sends and a daily limit — you don't need to click repeatedly. One email usually arrives within a minute, so check your spam folder before requesting another.

Accept the Terms of Use and Service Policy
The required checkbox at signup that records your acceptance of the in-force Terms of Use and Service Policy and the Privacy Policy.
How to read it. Ticking it is required to create an account. We log the exact version of the terms you accepted, along with the date, so there's a clear record of what you agreed to.

Email me product updates
An optional box at signup that adds you to the product-update mailing list.
How to read it. It sits below the terms checkbox and is unchecked by default. Leave it alone and your account is created exactly the same way; tick it and we record the date you opted in.

Privacy
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Turns off all non-essential analytics and tells us not to share your information for advertising purposes, in line with US privacy law (CCPA).
How to read it. Switch it on to opt out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, this is honored automatically and shown as on.

Using results responsibly
Engineering-use disclaimer
A reminder, shown on every result and on shared result pages, that ThrustLab's outputs are engineering estimates — not certified data.
How to read it. Treat results as a design aid. They must not be relied on for safety-critical decisions without independent bench testing and validation.
